If you have been out for a walk recently it is likely that you will have seen the snowdrops and daffodils starting to awaken.

These signs of the end of winter warm our hearts, but, unfortunately, the temperature has not yet increased enough for us to stop warming our homes.

When Should Radiators Be Turned Off?

An article in Ideal Home states that 14th March is the most popular date to turn the heating off. However, Home Serve suggests that this is actually a month later, on 14th April.

Our advice would be to set your thermostat to keep your home at an appropriate temperature, although a timer may be an effective way to ensure that your radiators are only switched on when you are indoors.

We have a range of valves, both manual and thermostatic, meaning that you can control the temperature of your home easily. Read more about the difference between the two here.
