Heat Output (BTU) Calculator

Use this calculator to determine the required heat output to heat your room.

A BTU (British Thermal Unit) is a unit of measurement of heat per hour. The BTU calculator will determine the size and quantitry of radiators needed per room.

Each radiator comprises of a number of sections assembled at Trads. Each section generates a specific BTU. If you divide the total room BTU requirement by the individual section BTU output, it will give you the total number of sections required for that room, which may be split into one or more radiators as space permits.

Delta 50 is the UK standard for all domestic gas boiler systems.
The Delta value determines the number of sections required by your cast iron radiator.
